Can we ever really understand love? Even as we learn of its many attributes we are left in wonder and in awe of its beauty and power. Just as hope is like the air we breathe, love is our lifeline. Sometimes it flows so freely and abundantly in our lives enabling us to be fully alive. At other times it is lacking or weakened and we struggle to feel its presence.
Love is the greatest of all gifts. There is nothing else that can transform our lives the way love can. Love doesn’t just happen all the time. Love is practiced. We all have the lifeblood of love in our souls. It is where patience, kindness, sincerity, and all goodness come from. To experience love fully we must first receive love, knowing that we are loved. We may not feel we deserve to be loved at times, but that doesn’t have to keep us from receiving love. Genuine love is freely given. It is to be freely received if we are to experience it in its fullness. It is a gift to all who will take it.
Love has many amazing qualities as we have seen in the previous pages. There’s something miraculous about love in that its supply is endless. It never runs dry. As long as you keep giving it away you will be filled to overflowing. And as you practice the presence of love in your life and apply the principles discussed, your love life will be forever transformed. Your relationships will grow stronger and bring greater fulfillment in your life than ever before.
You can experience love that is more genuine and far deeper than you have ever known. There is so much love for you to receive and so much love for you to give. Now that you know how true love is communicated, you can express love in every area of your life and allow it to change you and your relationships forever.
Love never fails. All else may fail, but love never fails. Love is powerful. It makes miracles happen. Love is eternal. It will never end. And this is just the beginning… May you grow more and more each day in discovering and experiencing love for life, self, and others.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; …bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. ~1 Corinthians 13:4-8, NKJV
