Happiness is not a destination. It is a method of life.
~Burton Hills
True happiness is priceless. We can’t buy it, and no one can hand it to us. It is part of the human experience, and it comes from within us. We can make ourselves happy or unhappy when no one and nothing else can. That is because we control how we think and how we respond to life. Basically, we make choices every day that determine whether or not we’re going to enjoy our lives and be our best.
If we want to be happy, we have to do something about it. Developing a lifestyle of happiness requires work and a great deal of practice. The more we practice happiness, the more natural it will become. The problem is, most people, don’t know how to practice happiness. We hear about the characteristics of happy people, but we don’t know how to make them real in our own lives. We sometimes think it’s simply inborn, and some people are more fortunate than others. The truth is: We are all capable of enjoying our lives and living them with purpose. Every one of us can be happy if we (1) choose happiness, (2) learn and apply happiness principles and tools, and (3) practice happiness every day.
The 9 Habits of Happy People is designed to provide you with everything you need to be your best and develop a happiness lifestyle. You will find creative tools, activities, resources, insights, and inspirations in every page.
